I-dapt Health-tech Hackathon Concludes At Iit(bhu) | Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: I-DAPT Health-Tech Hackathon concluded recently at the I-DAPT Hub Foundation, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. After a stringent screening, 15 top teams were invited for the mega finals.
IIT(BHU) director, Prof Pramod Kumar Jain said that applications were invited from health-tech innovators from across the country. A team of seven jury evaluated each team on parameters including innovation, technology feasibility, societal impact, scalability and cost-effectiveness. Prizes were awarded in two categories- students and start-ups.
In students category, Natish Kumar and Monika Kumari of IIT-Jammu won the 1st prize for microfluidic based rapid and autonomous device to detect Covid virus while Vandita Srivastava and team of the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU won the second prize for advanced placement of dental implants and Abhishek Mishra from Kolkata grabbed the third spot for low-cost portable digital microscope.
In start-ups category, the Werehab Technologies led by Sukanya Dikshit and Dr Vishwal won the first prize for IoT based post trauma rehabilitation wearable insole while Saket Agrawal of Greenverse Pvt Ltd. won the second prize for innovative AI based air purifier and Himanshu Khosle won the third prize for smart AI based trekking shoes. Winners and runner-ups were awarded cash prizes and free internship opportunities at IIT (BHU). A special category prize was given to a class XI student Mohit Ingle from Indore for AI Based self-diagnosis kit.
