Mahendran and Deepa have been strangers once they met on the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) within the southern Indian metropolis of Chennai in 2020.
But over months, they received to know one another higher and fell in love.
Now the couple is fortunately married – marking the primary marriage ceremony between sufferers on the 228-year-old psychological well being centre.
The ceremony, which befell in October at a temple contained in the institute, was attended by ministers and lawmakers of Tamil Nadu state.
Dr Poorna Chandrika, the director of IMH, says it was like a “family marriage” for them.
“This was their determination and we’re very completely satisfied.”
