A 34-year-old Indian mom of two kids who travelled to a distant village in Pakistan to marry her Facebook pal after changing to Islam has obtained some cash and a bit of land as items for embracing the faith.

Anju — who now goes by the title of Fatima after changing to Islam — on July 25 married her 29-year-old pal Nasrullah, whose house is within the Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They grew to become mates on Facebook in 2019.

On Saturday, Mohsin Khan Abbasi, the chief govt officer of an actual property firm primarily based in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, visited Anju and Nasrullah at their residence.

He introduced Anju a cheque, the quantity of which was not recognized, and a land doc within the presence of her husband to make her really feel at residence in Pakistan.

Abbasi mentioned he gifted some money and a ten marla (approx 2,722 sq ft) plot to assist Anju begin her new life after changing to Islam in order that she mustn’t face any problem.

“Anju travelled all along from India to this part of Pakistan and converted to Islam to start her new matrimonial life. We came here to welcome her to our religion and congratulate her on her marriage,” he mentioned.

Anju, who was born in Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh and lived within the Alwar district of Rajasthan, travelled to Pakistan legally from India through the Wagah-Attari border. She was granted a 30-day visa, legitimate for Upper Dir solely. Her visa will expire on August 20.

Anju is married to Arvind, who’s in Rajasthan. They have a 15-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
