Market On Thursday:

The market failed to carry on to opening positive factors and ended close to the day’s low in a risky session on August 24, with the Sensex falling 180.96 factors, or 0.28 %, to 65,252.34 and the Nifty ending at 19,386.70, down 57.30 factors or 0.29 %.

The market opened sturdy on optimistic world cues and prolonged the positive factors within the preliminary hours however then slipped on widespread promoting within the second half to finish close to the day’s low.

The Sensex shed 661 factors from the day’s excessive of 65,913.77 and the Nifty50 197.75 factors from the excessive of 19,584.45.

Top Nifty losers included Reliance Industries, Grasim Industries, ONGC, Power Grid Corp and JSW Steel, whereas gainers had been BPCL, Asian Paints, IndusInd Bank, Infosys and Britannia Industries.

On the sectoral entrance, auto, capital items, PSU Bank, oil & gasoline, pharma, steel shed 0.3-0.7 % every, whereas the knowledge know-how index was up 0.5 %.
