Indore: There seems to be no relief for citizens from the increasing mosquito menace which continued to create trouble for the people as the cases of dengue increased swiftly in the city.

As many as 17 more cases of dengue were reported in the city on Sunday with which the total number of cases has increased to 384, so far. Much to the concern of the officials, out of these 17 cases, about 11 were children who fell prey to the disease, including five children below the age of 10 years.

“Seventeen new cases of dengue were found from Tirumala Township, Singapore Township, Kalindi Gold and Gouri Nagar, Agrawal Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Suvidhi Nagar, Bhagirathpura, Feroze Gandhi Nagar, Pipliyarao, Vishnupuri, Rishi Nagar and others,” district malaria officer Dr Daulat Patel said. He added that they had surveyed 300 houses in the surrounding areas of the patients’ homes and found larvae in 10 of them.
