The Indian Premier League (IPL) closing might be held on the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai tentatively on May 26, the BCCI sources revealed. It has been learnt that Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will maintain one Qualifier and one Eliminator whereas one other Qualifier might be held in Chennai.

“The IPL Governing Council has followed the tradition of holding the opening game and final at the home venue of last year’s defending champions — in this case Chennai Super Kings,” a senior BCCI official advised PTI.

With Mahendra Singh Dhoni taking part in his final IPL, knockout video games in Chennai might be a deal with for all of the ‘Thala’ followers.

The BCCI has finalised the schedule for the rest of the IPL whereas holding in thoughts the overall election dates.
