The Joint Committee on Health will meet on Tuesday, twenty fourth October for consideration of the funding of well being companies in 2024 and the implications for well being companies and for the recruitment of personnel at 10am in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House.
The assembly will hear from representatives from the Health Service Executive and officers from the Department of Health.
Speaking forward of the assembly, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Seán Crowe stated “Our Committee is very aware that there has been significant investment in health over the past few years but tomorrow’s meeting will be an opportunity to discuss how Ireland’s health service will function in 2024 following the recent Budget announcement.
We will analyse with the HSE and Department of Health where they see the allocated funding for next year being directed as a priority and how impactful the recently announced recruitment freeze will have both on patients and health sector workers already under pressure.”
