JSW Group mentioned it has partnered with Finland-based agency Coolbrook to implement a low carbon emission know-how at its Vijayanagar plant in Karnataka.
In an announcement, JSW Group mentioned the partnership follows Coolbrook’s profitable completion of the primary section of large-scale pilot exams for RotoDynamic Technology on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus within the Netherlands in 2023.
“This strategic partnership will focus on implementing Coolbrook’s RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) Technology at JSW’s manufacturing sites at Vijayanagar Works in Karnataka with the primary goal of achieving low CO2 emissions in steel and cement production,” it mentioned.
The RDH know-how utilises renewable electrical energy to energy high-temperature industrial processes in metal and cement manufacturing, considerably decreasing the necessity to burn fossil fuels, JSW Group mentioned.
“Deployment of RDH Technology is expected to have a sizeable impact on the decarbonisation of the group’s manufacturing process,” P Okay Murugan, President at JSW Steel Vijayanagar and Salem Works, mentioned.
