Karan Johar is all set to make his directorial comeback with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Now, ahead of presenting his comedy act for a reality show, the filmmaker recently shared that he is ‘done with offending people’ and wants to put all his focus into filmmaking now.

In an interview with a news portal, Karan shared that he has been censoring himself due to the worry and the troubles that would follow since he has earlier found himself in controversies. The filmmaker reveals having massive bubbles in his head about so many things, that he can’t really express it. “There are so many things I want to say in my set-piece (on the show) but I feel very restricted and not for any other reason but because I believe I will offend someone somewhere and I really don’t want to because I am done with offending people” he shares.

Karan also added that he just wants to focus on just making movies without any drama around me. “I really feel the need to curb and curtail a lot of what I’m wanting to say. That is the only thing that actually saddens me more than anything else because I believe I can take a joke on myself but I know a lot of others can’t.” Karan told the news portal.

The director also added that the film fraternity is sensitive and doesn’t have a sense of humour. When asked if he has topics which he would refrain from talking about, he jokes — anything that isn‘t about him is a taboo area.

Meanwhile on the work front, Karan, apart from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, asserts that his shelved period drama ‘Takht’ will be going on floors soon. he shared that the period drama required a prep work of almost 2.5 years and was further delayed owing to the pandemic worldwide. “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ is my excitement project but ‘Takht’ is my passion project and you can’t run away from your passion. So right after I am done with my excitement, I’ll head towards my passion” he told.
