La PINE, Ore. (KTVZ) – The La Pine Community Health Center formally broke floor on its main campus enlargement venture on August 10. The centerpiece of the venture is a brand new three-story, 27,000-square-foot Wellness Center, positioned adjoining to the present medical and administrative constructing bordered by First Street, Bluewood Avenue and Huntington Road in La Pine.
The groundbreaking occasion was well-attended by native, county and state officers, in addition to residents of South County, together with LCHC workers, board, and volunteers. U.S. Senator Ron Wyden visited the positioning on August 12 to indicate his continued assist of LCHC that started in 2009 when it grew to become a Federally Qualified Health Center.

The assist and advocacy of U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, together with Representative Reschke and the Deschutes County Commissioners was acknowledged, as this assist has secured $3 million in state funding and $3.1 million in federal funding. In his feedback, Reschke mentioned, “Access to modern health care is essential for a healthy community.”
The $14 million venture goals to:
- Increase native entry to major medical care, dental providers, and psychological well being packages
- Add entry to diagnostic imaging together with mammograms, CT scans, and ultrasound procedures
- Expand group well being schooling and outreach packages
- Provide childcare assets for LCHC workers aiding in workers recruitment, retention, and enrichment
