Tanner Maddocks threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns, but Fleetwood couldn’t stop East Pennsboro’s rushing attack in a 38-23 non-league loss Friday in Enola.

Maddocks threw TD passes to Will Ryan and Owen Maddocks and ran for a 1-yard TD to help rally the Tigers (0-3), who trailed 17-0 at the half.

Maddocks completed 24-of-36 passes, setting a program record for completions in a game. The previous mark was 21, by Zach Koenig in 2014 and Corey Unger in 2010.

The Panthers (1-1) rushed for 350 yards on 59 attempts, with Jacob Shermeyer and Sy Burgos each topping 100 yards.

The Tigers trailed 24-2 late in the third quarter before Tanner Maddocks hooked up with Ryan for a 15-yard score. A two-point conversion pass from Maddocks to David Pienta made it 24-10.

Maddocks’ 7-yard TD pass to brother Owen late in the fourth quarter trimmed the lead to 14 again.

Tanner Maddocks scored on a 1-yard run on the final play of the game.

Owen Maddocks had eight receptions for 94 yards, Wes McCalpine had seven catches for 72 yards and Ryan caught six passes for 83 yards.
