The minister mentioned the nation had immense potential to additional progress within the agriculture sector for which analysis was being promoted to extend the productiveness of crops. Ahsan Iqbal mentioned there have been vibrant prospects for exporting agricultural commodities and livestock to China and Middle East international locations. 

“New projects are being launched to promote research and modern technology,” he added.

Under the Agriculture Revolution 2.0 initiative, he mentioned the federal government had deliberate to realize self-sufficiency within the agriculture sector and promote exports of its merchandise.

 “We have to generate billions of dollars in exports from the agricultural sector.” 

Currently, he mentioned Pakistan was importing agricultural commodities price $10 billion yearly.
