Lewis “Lew” Rothman, an leisure govt who held prime jobs at the Weinstein Company and Strategy PR, died abruptly at his house in East Hampton on Dec. 22. He was 63.

Rothman is remembered for his smarts, honesty, humor, colourful language, film star seems to be and an angle and accent that betrayed his Queens roots. Beginning in 2006, Rothman served as chief know-how officer on the Weinstein Company, the indie studio behind “The King’s Speech” and “The Artist.” He labored there for a decade and later moved to Strategy, one of many preeminent awards consultancy corporations, in 2016. In the early Nineteen Nineties, Rothman and his spouse, Serina Mayer, began a brand new media consultancy, Vibemaster, Inc., which labored to develop ties and increase enterprise alternatives between leisure and know-how corporations. He was instrumental in creating the primary on-line business casting firm, CASTNET, and later served because the chief know-how officer for Atomic Pop, the primary on-line report label.

In addition to his skilled accomplishments, Rothman was a watch collector, meals connoisseur, devoted household man and a lover of canine, particularly his dachshund of 18 years, Bubu, and his grand-dog Champ. At his East Hampton house, he constructed furnishings by hand and collaborated on sculptures along with his spouse.

Rothman is survived by his spouse of 33 years, Serina; daughter Raella; sisters Barbara Kreiger and Cheryl Ann Krane; prolonged household of nieces, nephews and cousins.
