Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Lifan Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. (“Lifan Technology”) announced on Oct. 9 that it sold 4,542 vehicles in Sept. 2022, representing a precipitous surge of 2,002.78% year-over-year.
Of the vehicles sold last month, 3,352 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), indicating a four-digit year-on-year growth of 1,576%.

As for the year-to-date performance, Lifan Technology sold 31,852 vehicles through the first three quarters of the year, reflecting a 9,581.46% soar compared to the same span of last year. Notably, its Jan.-Sept. NEV sales amounted to 22,787 units, rocketing 7,322.48% from the previous year.
The blooming sales growth was buoyed by a robust surge in production volume. In Sept., Lifan Technology produced 3,610 vehicles, which were 931.43% more than the year-ago level. Its NEV sector scored a 359.43% year-over-year leap with 1,608 units sold last month.
For the first nine months of 2022, Lifan Technology saw its cumulative auto output zoom up 3,439.97% over a year earlier to 23,293 units, 11,389 units (+1,663% YoY) of which were NEVs.
For clarity, the NEV sales reported by the company consisted of the sales volumes of the vehicles produced and sold by Lifan Technology, Zhejiang Geely Automobile Company Limited, and Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
