- CBI has taken over the case and investigating the sudden death of the Bollywood actor
Mumbai: In yet another development in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, the late actor’s neighbour on Saturday claimed that she noticed suspicious activity in his residence on June 13, a day before he was found dead.
While speaking to media, Sushant’s neighbour said that on June 13, all lights of his house were unusually switched off early in the night.
She added that all lights were off, except for the kitchen, at around 10:30-10:45 pm. The neighbour also recalled that there was no party at his residence that night.
It should be noted that on June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his residence in Bandra. The initial police report had suggested that he committed suicide by hanging but his family rejected the report and requested the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the case.
Sushant’s residence revamped by owner
Meanwhile, sources suggested that Sushant Singh Rajput’s residence was handed back to the owner of the house by the Mumbai Police. Also, Sushant’s family members were ordered by the police to take the personal belongings of the late actor.
Curiously, the owner of the house removed the old furniture and made several changes to the residence, which was a crime scene investigated by authorities.
Earlier in the day, a CBI team reached the residence of Sushant Singh Rajput to investigate the premises and recreate the events before his death. The CBI team took the late actor’s cook Neeraj and flatmate Siddharth Pithani to assist them in recreating the crime scene.
