ARCHERY
Allen County: The Allen County Archers will be holding 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday of each month through September. It is open to all equipment.They are also holding traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long. They are open to all archery equipment.

BASKETBALL
Lima: The Lima Family YMCA will be holding a skill development training program for boys and girls in kindergarten through second grade. Participants will work on the game’s basics and are asked to bring their own basketballs if possible. Registration is from Sept. 28 to Oct. 30. Sessions will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will begin Nov. 7. Cost is $20 for Y members and $40 for non-members, including a T-shirt. Lima: The Lima Family YMCA will be holding a men’s league, consisting of a six-week regular season followed by a single elimination tournament. Jerseys will be provided to each team. There will be no spectators allowed for the regular season games. Games will be played beginning at 6 p.m. Thursdays. starting Oct. 22. Tournament will start Dec. 3. Cost is $350 per team. EXERCISE CLASSES
Lima: The Melt Method, a self-treatment technique that is designed to reduce chronic pain and maintain good health, quickly rehydrates connective tissue and allows the body to release long-held tension and stress. The four-week session will be held from 11:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays, beginning Oct. 5, at the Lima Family YMCA (345 S. Elizabeth St.). Cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. FISHING
Delaware: On Oct. 10, BrushPile Fishing will be playing host to the “Never Give Up. Never Quit” Veterans Day Crappie Tournament.” This year it will be hosted at Delaware Lake. The tournament will be one day with two-person teams. Top three places will win cash prizes and the top five places will qualify to participate in the Crappie USA National Tournament held at Green River Lake in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on Oct. 23 and 24. HORSESHOES
Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. PICKLEBALL
Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.
Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (appointment only). RUNNING
Lima: The Lima Family YMCA’s 5K Pumpkin Run will be held at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 24. Registration available until race day. Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting.
