After more than 18 months of being quiet, The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor is ready to rock again.

Caesars Windsor announced Tuesday that its 5,000-seat concert venue will once again host large audiences and live entertainment — something that hasn’t been possible since the pandemic reached Canada in March 2020.

Kevin Laforet, Caesars Windsor president, said he and his organization are ecstatic about the announcement. “There is nothing like the feeling and energy of a live music experience,” he stated in a news release.

Despite COVID-19 precautions forcing the cancellation of many shows over the past year and a half, a new concert lineup for the end of 2021 and early 2022 has already been released:

Dec. 11, 9 p.m. — Classic rock band REO Speedwagon

Dec. 19, 8 p.m. — The Tenors : Santa’s Wish Tour (Tickets on sale Nov. 5)

Jan. 27, 8 p.m. — Classic rocker Alice Cooper  (Tickets on sale Nov. 12)

Feb. 23, 8 p.m. — American rock band Shinedown  (Tickets on sale now)

Mar. 4, 8 p.m. — Rock guitar legend Slash  (Tickets on sale Oct. 29)

Mar. 11, 8 p.m. — Canadian rockers Burton-Cummings (Tickets on sale now)

Tim Trombley, Caesars Windsor director of entertainment, promised that Tuesday’s announcement is “just the beginning… We have more exciting shows to announce in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.”

All visitors to Caesars Windsor including The Colosseum must be fully vaccinated (with at least 14 days having elapsed since second dose), and must be able to provide proof of vaccination along with identification.

All concerts are for audiences 19 years of age and older, unless otherwise noted.
