Montgomery defeated Bucktail, 4-1, in girls tennis. Clara Ulrich earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.

Bucktail’s lone victory came at No. 3 singles as Emma Poorman won, 6-2, 6-0, against Sammi Ulrich.

Cowanesque Valley defeated North Penn-Liberty, 3-2. KT Nealen (No. 2 singles) and Emma Eglesia (No. 3) won in singles competition for the Mounties.

Cowanesque Valley swept the doubles competition and Megan Waltes won at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1.

Williamsport defeated Milton, 3-2, in the Millionaires’ first home tennis match of the season. Sophomore BReanna Chicas earned her first win, beating Brooklyn Wade, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 2 singles. Sophomore Allyson McCann won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-4, her third win of the year.

Williamsport improves to 2-1 and hosts Jersey Shore on Monday at 4 p.m.

Jersey Shore beat Selinsgrove, 3-2. Emilee Stetts won at No. 2 singles for the Bulldogs, 6-1, 6-2, and Riley Frazie rearned a win at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-3.

Montoursville won a pair of singles matches and Katelyn Good and Randi McKenna added a straight-sets win at No. 2 doubles to give the Warriors a 3-2 win over Hughesville in girls high school tennis.

Lydia Barbour posted a 6-0, 6-0, win at No. 1 singles, and Maddie Adams won, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1, at No. 2 singles for Montoursville. Marley Green picked up a singles win for Hughesville, 6-2, 6-4.

Central Mountain remained undefeated this season, beating Shikellamy, 5-0. The Wildcats moved to 6-0 by winning each match in straight sets. Olivia Anastos won, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles, and Kati Kwiatek added a 6-0, 6-1, win at No. 3 singles.

Towanda blanked Wellsboro, 5-0. At No. 2 doubles, Wellsboro’s Hannah Nuss and Michaela Sedor lost a close contest to Towanda’s Juliana Varner and Jocelyn Stroud, 6-3, 6-2.

Katie Savidge defeated Dana Lee, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles to help Loyalsock defeat Bloomsburg, 4-1. Abbie Machmer won at No. 2 singles for the Lancers, 6-1, 6-1.

In high school golf, Central Mountain defeated Selinsgrove at Susquehanna Valley Country Club, 168-181. The Wildcats were led by Jason Floruss, who shot a 41, and both Griff Walizer and Gardy Fravel who shot 42s. Peyton Newlen shot a 43 for Central Mountain.
