Former Boat Rocker Media exec David Lerech has joined Lone Eagle Entertainment as its SVP of unscripted television.

In the role, Lerech will work closely with Lone Eagle president and CEO Michael Geddes as the company looks to expand its presence in the North American unscripted market.

Lerech arrives at the prodco behind You Gotta Eat Here! after nearly five years under the Boat Rocker banner.

He first joined Boat Rocker in June 2015 in the role of director, factual entertainment at its in-house production company Temple Street. In May 2017, Lerech was tapped to lead Crooked Horse Productions – then a newly launched factual prodco within the Boat Rocker group – as VP and then later upped to SVP.

Before Boat Rocker, he spent more than six years with Proper TV, first as a senior development producer and later as head of development.

Toronto-based Lone Eagle has been on the unscripted scene for 24 years, most recently producing the culinary travel series Big Food Bucket List for Corus Entertainment’s Food Network Canada. The company’s other credits include You Gotta Eat Here!, Wipeout Canada and Too Much Information.
