The Lone Star Conference announced Friday afternoon that its Council of Presidents voted to delay the start of fall sports in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Teams will now not be able to practice before August 24. If subsequently approved by the Council, fall sports teams will be unable to compete in games until September 21.

The Council will gather again prior to the beginning of the season to review updated public health information and the athletic calendar.
