Nadine Lustre joined James Reid to celebrate his mom Ella Macdonald’s birthday.

Macdonald shared her joy in receiving gifts from Lustre and Reid via Facebook on Friday, Aug. 28.

“Thank you Nadz for the Cake and James also the Flower it was indeed a big surprise for me,” she said.

The actress got a pink minimalist cake with gold stars for Macdonald that read “Happy birthday Mommy Ella” in script. Reid meanwhile gave his mom a bouquet of red tulips.

In another photo, the two were seen with Macdonald and Reid’s sister Chanty, keeping safe in masks.

Even if Reid and Lustre announced their breakup in January, it appears they and their families have remained close.

Macdonald greeted Lustre’s mom Myraquel Paguia on her birthday, fondly calling her “my balae (in-law).” She accompanied the greeting with a picture of her and Paguia with Lustre, Reid and Chanty.

The two gave JaDine fans hope of the former lovers getting back together after Lustre posted a photo of her and James on his birthday last May.

It seems the speculations do point to a possible reunion as a couple, as DJ Jhai Ho said in the same month that they were indeed a couple again, citing a reliable source while on the online show “4Ts: Top Ten Trending Topics”. JB
