Madonna was hospitalized with what her administration calls “a serious bacterial infection.” It is unclear if the singer and actor, now 64 years outdated, stays in a hospital as of Wednesday afternoon. Her worldwide “Celebration” tour, which was supposed to start in Vancouver on July 15, has been postponed. It was meant to mark her fortieth anniversary as a singer.

In a publish revealed on Instagram Wednesday afternoon, the artist’s longtime supervisor, Guy Oseary, wrote: “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”

Other particulars, together with the kind of an infection and the anticipated restoration time, haven’t been made public. In Oseary’s assertion, he famous that every one her present commitments, together with her upcoming tour, have been paused for now.
