The Tata Hexa is now the official army vehicle of the Bangladeshi army, and Tata Motors won a big contract for the manufacture and supply of the army-spec Hexa to our eastern neighbor. Tata Motors had to conduct vigorous testing on the Hexa for months before getting an approval from the Bangladesh Army. Tata Motors has now received an order for 200 Hexa MUVs from the Bangladesh Army.

Mahindra Enforcer – Philippines

The Mahindra Enforcer is essentially a rebadged Bolero pick up truck. In the Philippines, an island archipelago in the Indian ocean – the Mahindra Enforcer serves as a police vehicle. The Enforcer is built in India, and shipped out to the Philippines for use by its police force. The police force of Philippines purchased a total of 1,470 units of Enforcer for P1.3 billion in 2015.

Mahindra XUV500 – South Africa

While South Africa is one of the most advanced nations of the African continent, the country doesn’t have a strong manufacturing base. Mahindra vehicles – known for their toughness and reliability – are quite popular in South Africa, where they rub shoulders with vehicles manufactured by various Japanese automakers. The police force of South Africa has chosen the XUV500 as their official car. The Mahindra XUV500 cop car exported to South Africa in the top-end W8 trim, with an all wheel drive layout.

Mahindra Enforcer – Bhutan

Bhutan – a land locked country that lies North East of India –  imports a large number of cars made in India. The security forces of Bhutan use the Mahindra Enforcer – a paramilitary variant of the hardy Bolero pick-up truck. The Enforcer is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.5L turbo diesel engine that’s capable of producing up to 100 hp and 240 Nm of torque. A 4 wheel drive layout is offered as an option.

Tata Safari Storme – Algeria

Algeria – one of North Africa’s fast developing countries – imports Tata SUVs. In fact, the Tata Safari Storme is the Algerian police force’s primary cop car. Akin to the Mahindra Scorpio, the Safari offers a good mix of performance, cabin comfort, off-roading capabilities, and affordability, which has made it the choice of the Algerian police force. The Safari Storme is no longer produced in India, and has been replaced by the Safari.

Mahindra Scorpio – Maldives

The police force of Male – the capital of Maldives – uses a 4WD-equipped Mahindra Scorpio. It does seem like the Scorpio’s powerful engine, comfortable cabin, capable 4wd hardware, and affordability has made it popular even outside the country.

Yes, the Mahindra Scorpio you see above has been photographed in the Philippines. The security force over there purchased 398 of this four-wheel drive-equipped SUV for more than P394 million in 2016.

The Scorpio Getaway is based on the Scorpio SUV, and is sold with a dual cab design to the Italian cops.

The Police force has purchased as many as 485 units of the Scorpio in LX-trim. This is the older generation Scorpio that’s no longer built in India.
