Mahindra & Mahindra has finally begun deliveries of the all-new XUV700 SUV, and the first examples of the offering were handed over to the winners of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. After paralympian Sumit Antil received his special car, now Neeraj Chopra brought home the all-new Mahindra XUV700. The XUV700 Javelin Gold Edition was announced by Anand Mahindra and has been specifically designed for the Tokyo Olympics gold medallists as a recognition of their achievements.

Receiving the Mahindra XUV700, Neeraj Chopra thanked the M&M chairman and wrote, “Thank you @anandmahindra ji for the new set of wheels with some very special customisation! I’m looking forward to taking the car out for a spin very soon.”
Neeraj Chopra’s Mahindra XUV700 Javelin Gold Edition is finished in Midnight Black shade. The chrome elements on the exterior have been replaced by gold inserts, including the new Mahindra logo, which now carries Satin Gold plating. Moreover, Chopra’s record-breaking javelin throw of 87.58 metres is denoted on the tailgate as a sticker on the front fender and tailgate. In fact, Chopra also chose the four numbers when registering his XUV700 Gold Edition. Lastly, the seats are stitched in fine gold thread completing the upgrades on the Gold Edition. The special edition model has been customised by Pratap Bode, EVP and Chief Design Officer, Mahindra & Mahindra.

Apart from Chopra and Antil, Anand Mahindra – Group Chairman at Mahindra & Mahindra, will also present the XUV700 Olympic Gold Edition to Avani Lekhara for her historic win. Apart from Mahindra, carmakers including Renault, MG Motor India and Tata Motors announced plans to gift cars to Indian Olympic and Paralympic players from Tokyo 2020.
