Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Saturday mentioned the federal government is monitoring the scenario and taking needed steps in view of the surge in circumstances of mycoplasma pneumonia and influenza flu, particularly amongst youngsters, in China.

“The government is monitoring the situation. The ICMR and the Director General of Health Services are observing the surging cases of pneumonia in China, and necessary steps are being taken,” Mandaviya advised reporters when requested concerning the outbreak that has brought on international concern. He was in Mehsana to launch the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.

The Union Health Ministry mentioned in a press release Friday that India is ready for any sort of exigency which will emerge from the present influenza scenario in China, highlighting that it’s monitoring the outbreak of H9N2 and clusters of respiratory sickness in youngsters in that nation.
