NEW DELHI: Mercedes-Benz on Friday released a teaser video of the upcoming electric SUV EQC ahead of its India debut.
Mercedes-Benz had introduced its electrified brand EQ in India earlier this year and promised to launch the EQC all-electric SUV in the Indian market. However, due to the COVID situation, the luxury carmaker had to delay the premiere.
The EQC sports a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout with two asynchronous electric motors, one mounted on the front axle, and another at the rear axle. The EQC makes a combined 404 PS of peak power and 765 Nm of peak torque.

Combined with the 80kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the EQC SUV is capable of providing up to 470 kilometres of driving range on a single charge.
The LED daytime running lights in the headlamp itself are complemented with a LED lighting strip just over the front grille. The rear is very Porsche Cayenne-esque with its twin LED tail lamps joined together with a lighting strip while in profile, the EQC is very sleek.
The upcoming SUV can cost around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom). The EQC, in the global market, competes with Jaguar I-Pace and the Tesla Model X.
