LUCKNOW: Ashish Mishra, son of junior home minister Ajay Mishra, has been sent back to jail from the district hospital in Uttar Pradesh ‘s Lakhimpur Kheri and will continue his treatment for dengue at its in-house medical facility.
This was triggered after a video, which showed him walking around under the custody of jail officials at the hospital, went viral. In the video, he wasn’t handcuffed and officials maintained their distance. His police custody had abruptly ended a day early after he had tested positive for dengue. He was then remanded to judicial custody.
Jail superintendent PP Singh said, “Ashish was sent to the hospital to run some tests. Currently, his condition is stable inside the jail.”
