The Mississippi Department of Health reported 894 new COVID-19 cases and 27 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 75,449 confirmed cases and 2,190 deaths. With one new death in George County, one new death in Harrison County, and two new deaths in Jackson County.

Here are the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County has 442 cases and 17 deaths
• Harrison County has 2,927 cases and 41 deaths
• Jackson County has 2,620 cases and 52 deaths
• Stone County has 269 cases and nine deaths
• George County has 654 cases and 11 deaths
• Pearl River County has 643 cases and 44 deaths
