The Mississippi Department of Health reported 874 new COVID-19 cases and 24 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 76,323 confirmed cases and 2,214 deaths. With one new death in George County, one new death in Harrison County, and two new deaths in Jackson County.

Here are the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County has 448 cases and 18 deaths
• Harrison County has 2,984 cases and 43 deaths
• Jackson County has 2,696 cases and 53 deaths
• Stone County has 278 cases and nine deaths
• George County has 666 cases and 11 deaths
• Pearl River County has 660 cases and 45 deaths
