Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A police constable of Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district was suspended on Friday for kicking and dragging an aged man who allegedly was misbehaving with him in an inebriated state.

The video, reportedly recorded by a passenger, surfaced on social media displaying the constable mercilessly thrashing the aged man.

The accused constable has been recognized as Anant Sharma, a resident of Rewa.

According to the knowledge acquired from the interrogation of the accused constable, the aged man was misbehaving with him and his fellow passengers on the station was in an inebriated state.

“We have launched a probe into the matter and a team of GRP is interrogating the constable,” mentioned senior police officers.
