A 54-year-old lady died after being hit by the semi high-speed Vande Bharat Express prepare close to Anand in Gujarat on Tuesday afternoon, Railway Police mentioned.

The sufferer, recognized as Beatrice Archibald Peter, was crossing the monitor close to Anand railway station when the accident happened at 4.37 pm, mentioned a police official right here.

Beatrice Archibald Peter, a resident of Ahmedabad, was reportedly visiting a relative at Anand, he mentioned.

The prepare was on its approach from Gandhinagar Capital to Mumbai Central. It doesn’t halt at Anand railway station.

In the final one month, the prepare has suffered injury on three events on account of collision with cattle on the tracks.

On October 6, its entrance panel was broken when it hit a herd of 4 buffaloes between Vatva and Maninagar railway stations.

The subsequent day (October 7), the prepare hit a cow close to Anand.

In one other incident, the prepare hit a bull close to Atul railway station in Gujarat.

The indigenously designed and manufactured semi-high velocity prepare is the third underneath the Vande Bharat collection.
