The Czech authorities stated India’s judicial authorities have “no jurisdiction” within the case involving Nikhil Gupta – the Indian nationwide named in a US indictment over an alleged plot to kill Khalistani chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil – days after his household approached the Supreme Court searching for its intervention within the matter.

Responding to allegations made in a petition filed within the Supreme Court by Gupta’s household that he was not having satisfactory authorized illustration, Repka stated based on the relevant laws of the Czech Republic, the defence counsel should all the time be representing an individual towards whom extradition proceedings are initiated.
“If a person does not have a defence counsel in cases where must have one, a defence counsel would be immediately appointed by the competent court,” Repka advised PTI in an electronic mail responding to a question.

Czech authorities on acceptable food plan in jail
Repka additionally dismissed allegations that Gupta was not being offered acceptable food plan within the jail.
