Montreal-headquartered Muse Entertainment has penned a first-look deal with former Vice Media Canada and Zone3 executive Michael Kronish.

Kronish, who helped set up Vice Studios and the Vice TV network in Canada and served as EVP for the Canadian outpost of the millennial-skewing media company, will work with Muse’s teams in Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles to develop and produce factual programming for international markets via the deal.

His credits with Vice included the Emmy-nominated film Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond, the Sundance-premiering Rise, and series such as Cyberwar, FUBAR, Nirvanna the Band the Show and Dark Side of the Ring.

Prior to Vice, Kronish was an executive producer with Montreal’s Zone3, launching its English production business. Before that, he served as a producer, showrunner and EP at Montreal’s Galafilm. Recently, he co-founded the tech firm, Waverly AI.

“With Muse’s recent successes in the premium factual space, we’re looking to grow even further with Michael Kronish,” said Jonas Prupas, vice president, factual, for Muse Entertainment in a news release. “With his 20 years’ experience in the genre, as well as his extensive international network with key talent, Michael is the ideal partner to help Muse achieve its goals.”

Unscripted original projects from Muse include JFK: The Smoking Gun for Reelz and For Heaven’s Sake for Paramount+.
