During the 2024 Technology and Innovation Expo, hosted by the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology and themed “STI: Solution to National Economic Challenges”, Dr Halilu Ahmad Shaba, the Director-General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), spotlighted NASRDA’s achievements and initiatives. In addition, he emphasised NASRDA’s dedication to adhering to the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation mandates and the revised National Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy goals to bolster innovation, improve startup help, facilitate commercialisation, and propel industrialisation in Nigeria.NASRDA

Furthermore, NASRDA offered varied tasks on the Expo, illustrating its dedication to exploring pioneering improvements in house know-how. Among the highlighted array of groundbreaking tasks by a number of centres and departments embrace:

  • The Advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Laboratory exhibited a cellular floor management station, coach plane, engine starter generator, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS);

  • The Centre for Space Transport and Propulsion (CSTP) unveiled tasks just like the web-sized detection jacket with interactive multilingual voice help suggestions; and
  • The Institute of Space Science and Engineering (ISSE) offered a spread of packages, together with its MSc and PhD choices.
