The Simpson College women’s golf and tennis teams will have to wait several additional days to begin their seasons, after their original dates this weekend were pushed back due to required NCAA COVID-19 testing. Vice President for Student Development and Planning, and chair of the Crisis Management Team said of the change:

“This week, all our in-season athletic teams underwent baseline COVID-19 testing, in accordance with NCAA regulations. We have canceled the events scheduled for this weekend as we await the results.”

The tests were routine, and not as a result due to exposure to COVID-19, and the teams will be able to begin competition if the tests come back negative.
