Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday said there is scope for expansion of technology-based economy. It is necessary to equip the youth with latest technologies.
He was addressing the signing of a MoU of the State Planning Commission with Tata Technology here.
The pact aimed to develop the state’s technical educational institutions (polytechnics and ITIs) into technological hubs and up-gradation of agricultural research and innovation centres.
He said equipping the youth with the latest technology will help them gain employment and self-employment. It will accelerate industrial development in the state. The education pattern should be according to the demand of the industries.
The Deputy Chairman of State Planning Commission, Ajay Singh, said Tata Technology will provide its services to educational and technical institutions for three years.
Pushkaraj Kaulgud, Senior Vice President, Tata Technologies, said 23 technical short-term courses will be started in the state.
