Former Pentagon staffer Michael Rubin shot again at US Secretary of State Antony Blinken after he mentioned the US stays vigilant relating to cases of ‘transnational repression’ whereas not directly referring to the claims made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the killing of Khalistani separatist-terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Blinken urged India to cooperate within the ongoing investigations on Friday however stopped wanting commenting immediately on the topic.

“We are deeply involved in regards to the allegations that Canadian PM Trudeau has raised. We have been consulting very intently with our Canadian colleagues, and coordinating with them on this problem. From our perspective, it’s important that the Canadian investigation proceed,” Blinken said.

“We would hope that our Indian friends would cooperate with that investigation as well,” he mentioned.

“We are extraordinarily vigilant about any cases of alleged transnational repression, one thing we take very critically and it’s necessary for the worldwide system that any nation which may contemplate participating in such acts not accomplish that,” the US secretary of state further added.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday that India played a role in the June murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Khalistani separatist-terrorist, near Vancouver.

Nijjar was wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for funding terror and conspiracy to commit murder and threatened India’s sovereignty by expressing his desire to carve out Khalistan from India.

Canada expelled a senior Indian diplomat from the country and India responded by expelling a Canadian diplomat from the country and reducing its diplomatic staff and stopping visa services.

Michael Rubin, former Pentagon official and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, however, was not impressed with Blinken’s statement. He also criticised the Canadian government for not backing their claims with credible evidence and said Trudeau is shooting from the hip.

He also said Nijjar has ‘blood on his hands’ and is not a mere plumber as Canada is claiming him to be.

“Let’s not fool ourselves, Hardeep Singh Nijjar was not simply a plumber any more than Osama Bin Laden was a construction engineer. He had blood on his hands through multiple attacks,” Rubin mentioned.

“Canadian PM Justin Trudeau has made an enormous mistake. He has made allegations in a fashion which he has not been in a position to again. There are two prospects right here, both he was capturing from the hip and he doesn’t have the proof to help the accusations he made towards the Indian authorities,” Rubin further added, urging Trudeau to answer why Canada was sheltering a terrorist.

“Secretary Blinken may, after the facts, say that the United States will always stand against transnational oppression. We’re actually being hypocritical if Secretary Blinken makes that statement,” Rubin mentioned, referring to the killings of Iranian Quds chief Qasem Soleimani and former al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden.
