With the return of Brock’s much-anticipated annual Employee Wellness Day comes the announcement of the University’s new Health, Safety and Wellness (HSW) Champion.
The HSW Champion Award was established by the HSW division in 2016 to acknowledge people or departments who make important contributions to well being, security and wellness on the University annually.
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have not awarded a Champion since June 2019,” says Leigh Harold, Director, Health, Safety and Wellness. “We are very excited to once again provide a member of the Brock community with this recognition.”
Brock workers are invited to appoint people or departments which have demonstrated management in well being and security within the office, such championing of a tradition of well being, security and wellness of their models or throughout campus. Also thought-about can be actions taken to stop office accidents or diseases.

The 2022-23 HSW Champion can be introduced on the twenty first annual Employee Wellness Day happening Tuesday, June 20.
Past award recipients embrace Robert Glass, Manager, Mechanical Services, Facilities Management (2018-19); Karen McAllister-Kenny, Director, Youth Programs (2017-18); and Karl Thorp, Senior Platoon Supervisor with Campus Security Services (2016-17).
