GROVETON — The football game between Normangee and Garrison was halted in the first quarter because of lightning and eventually canceled Saturday at Groveton.

The Panthers were leading 8-0 when play was halted. The game was scheduled earlier this week after Normangee’s game against Iola was canceled because of positive COVID-19 tests at Iola.

Normangee (1-0) will play at Chilton at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
