Novak Djokovic closed in on a possible blockbuster French Open semi-final towards Carlos Alcaraz after beating Karen Khachanov 4-6, 7-6 (7/0), 6-2, 6-4 on Tuesday to achieve the final 4. Djokovic, chasing a 3rd French Open crown and document twenty third males’s Grand Slam singles title, superior to a forty fifth main semi-final and his twelfth at Roland Garros. He will tackle world primary Alcaraz or Stefanos Tsitsipas, the participant he beat from two units down within the 2021 remaining, for a spot in Sunday’s championship match.

Djokovic dropped his first set of the match however dominated the second-set tie-break towards Khachanov earlier than placing his foot all the way down to safe a ninth win in 10 conferences with the Russian eleventh seed. “I think he was a better player for most of the first two sets,” stated Djokovic.

Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic reached the French Open semi-finals for the first time with a straight sets win over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on Tuesday. The world number 43 came through 7-5, 6-2 over the 333rd-ranked Russian who was runner-up in Paris in 2021.

A semi-finalist at the Australian Open two years ago, Muchova will face either world number two Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus.
