Oppo is all geared up to launch a new smartphone in India. The company has been teasing the launch of Oppo F17 Pro on its social media handles for quite some time now. But ahead of the big launch, Oppo has confirmed the camera specifications of the smartphone and other key details about the F17 Pro have also been doing the rounds on the internet. Hailed as the “sleekest phone of 2020”, the Oppo F17 Pro is touted to bring a lot of newness to the platter. The company is yet to announce the launch date of the smartphone.

Oppo in a statement revealed that the F17 Pro will feature a total of 6 cameras, four on the back, and two on the front. The square-shaped camera module will feature a 48-megapixel wide-angle quad-camera setup on the rear and Front Dual Depth cameras in the front featuring a 16-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

“The F17 Pro packs a camera powerhouse that’s designed to capture pictures at par with that of professional pictures. The smartphone is designed to offer a powerful combination of AI cameras including a 48MP wide-angle quad-camera setup on the rear, and Front Dual Depth cameras in the front that together offers better clarity and quality to pictures. The Dual Lens Bokeh leverages both the second 2MP depth camera and the 16MP main camera paired with software level image processing to create a more accurate and precise bokeh effect. Moreover, the feature helps add more bokeh effects to photos with multiple people in the frame,” Oppo had confirmed in a statement.

As per noted tipster Ishan Agarwal, the Oppo F17 Pro has featured a 6.43-inch S-AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone has a pill-shaped cutout on the display for the dual-front cameras. The Oppo F17 Pro is speculated to be driven by MediaTek Helio P95 chipset coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

In terms of camera, the Oppo F17 Pro will feature a square-shaped camera module that would house four camera sensors. The camera setup comprises of a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel camera, and dual- 2-megapixel camera sensors. On the front, the Oppo F17 Pro will feature dual-cameras for immaculate selfies consisting of a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

In terms of battery, the Oppo F17 Pro is likely to house a 4000mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC Flash Charge technology.

The Oppo F17 Pro weighs around 164 grams and measures at 160.14 x 73.7 x 7.48mm dimensions. It could be launched in various colour options including the Matte Black, Magic Blue, and Metallic White.
