The pressured conversion and marriage is the most recent in a sequence of incidents reported from Sindh up to now few years wherein Hindu women and girls had been focused.
A 44-year-old Hindu lady was murdered and her physique mutilated in Sindh late final 12 months, resulting in widespread panic among the many minorities. An 18-year-old was killed final 12 months in Sukkur after she resisted makes an attempt to abduct her.
According to Indian authorities, as many as 124 circumstances of pressured conversion and marriage involving women and girls from minority communities have been reported from Pakistan up to now 12 months. Many of the victims have been minors.
