The Black Swamp Players will proceed its 54th season with Jordan Harrison’s Pulitzer-nominated play, “Marjorie Prime.”

“Marjorie Prime,” directed by Heath A. Diehl, takes us into the not-too-distant future, within the time of synthetic intelligence. Marjorie (Fran Martone) is an 85-year-old girl whose reminiscence is fading. She is saved firm by a good-looking, youthful model of her husband Walter (Jake Spencer), who’s programmed to speak together with her about her previous. 

Also seen within the play are Tess (Nina Wright), Marjorie’s daughter, and Jon (Jonathan Chambers), Marjorie’s son-in-law. 

In this superbly scripted play, Jordan Harrison explores the mysteries of human identification and the bounds, if any, of what expertise can change.

“Marjorie Prime” shall be carried out Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 4 and 11 at 2 p.m. Doors open half-hour previous to curtain time.

All performances will happen on the Players’ newly renovated efficiency venue at 115 E. Oak Street, Bowling Green.

Black Swamp Players is nonprofit group that exists to offer alternatives for space residents to expertise high quality, novice, stay theatre in all its many elements.
