Delhite Raashi Khanna has emerged as one of the most sought-after stars in South Cinema. Although the diva began her journey in cinema with the Bollywood film ‘Madras Cafe’, she shifted focus to South cinema and has become a big name. Raashi Khanna has made headlines for her performance in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films and she is now back in the Hindi entertainment industry working on her upcoming web series, wherein she will be sharing the screen with Ajay Devgn for one series and for the other, her co-stars are Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi. Speaking exclusively to ETimes, Raashi Khanna shares her excitement about being back in the Hindi entertainment industry, her fondness for Telugu cinema and much more.

“I love acting and it is something that motivates me every day. I want to be the best version of myself. I don’t compare myself to anyone else, as everyone’s journey is extremely different. And I just take my craft very seriously. Be it learning the languages when it comes to working in the South or getting to know the people closer, I try to make that effort. That is the minimum effort we can make,” Raashi says, speaking about her love for cinema.

The actress confesses that she feels like she is back home, as she has finally returned to Hindi cinema. “And, I genuinely think that life has come a full circle. Returning to Hindi cinema feels like coming back home. There is a difference between learning a language and speaking it versus speaking the language you are familiar with. Hindi is my mother tongue, so when I go back to it, it is of course easier for me in a lot of ways,” she adds.

Though Raashi Khanna is a Delhite, grew up watching Bollywood movies, it’s the Telugu movies that made her the star today and she cannot stop gushing about her fondness for the industry. “It is also fascinating to work in all the different industries. I firmly believe that it’s the Telugu cinema and the audience that made me what I am today and where I am at this juncture. So, I also feel at home when I am in Hyderabad. I feel like I belong to the Telugu cinema majorly than any other entertainment industry,” Raashi Khanna sums up.
