New Delhi: Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Wednesday claimed the windscreen of Rahul Gandhi’s automotive was smashed close to the Bihar-Bengal border in suspected stone pelting. Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is at present touring Bihar.

“Rear windscreen of Rahul Gandhi’s car smashed near Bengal Bihar border. Someone might have pelted a stone,” he stated.

Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra reached Katihar on Tuesday. He carried out a highway present within the Bihar district on Wednesday morning.

The incident befell when Gandhi was travelling in West Bengal’s Malda district.

Chowdhury stated unidentified individuals threw stones at Gandhi’s automotive.

The rear window pane of the car was smashed within the incident. Rahul Gandhi escaped unharmed.

Gandhi later alighted the car after reaching a chosen halt and inspected the broken automotive.

The assault befell in Malda’s Harischandrapur space because the yatra re-entered West Bengal from Bihar.

Chowdhury stated the incident was “unacceptable”.
