There was plenty for fans, players, managers and pundits to get their teeth into over the weekend in the Scottish Premiership with 19 goals in the six games, including an entertaining 2-2 draw at Easter Road between Hibs and Rangers.
Some teams will see their encounter from the past couple of days as a missed opportunity, while some took advantage of slip-ups elsewhere. Celtic now know that a win over Aberdeen in their game in hand will see them jump above rivals Rangers at the top of the league.

The Killie No.10 has had a tough few seasons. Two injury ravaged campaigns were followed by two Championship loan spells. He has started the last three games and is beginning to have a real impact in the final third. Kilite was excellent in the win over Accies as Killie had to soldier through with ten men. He opened the scoring after a fine finish and drifted in off the flank to pose a real threat throughout.

Hamilton have a way of playing. They are not set up to be presented with the initiative. That’s what happened with Eamonn Brophy’s red card for Killie in the first half. More was expected from Accies but they barely threatened aside from the equalising goal when the game was 11 v 11. They couldn’t control the game and exert sufficient pressure with Marios Ogkympoe poor.

The midfield ace put in one of his best displays of the season as Celtic edged past Livingston in a match where they should have been more comfortable. He showed his defensive quality blocking a shot early on before taking control of proceedings and levelling the scores with the aid of a deflection. It was his cute pass which allowed Greg Taylor to set up Ryan Christie for the second.

At 3-1, Livingston looked down and out at Celtic Park only for Julien Serrano to fire a spectacular strike past Vasilis Barkas. It gave Liv a glimmer of hope to sneak a result. Once which they really should have taken. Carlo Pignatiello is the man that should have been the hero, sneaking into the box and heading home. However, in comical fashion he directed the header wildly away from goal.
