Esports-focused company ReKTGlobal announced that it has added Top Dawg Entertainment founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith to its ownership team. ReKTGlobal, which was founded in 2017 by Amish Shah and Dave Bialek, owns several esports assets such as the LEC franchise Rogue, Call of Duty League team London Royal Ravens, content creation agency Greenlit, and more. The financial details of the investment were not disclosed.
In a release, ReKTGlobal revealed that Tiffith “will explore opportunities for merch and apparel development, and music collaborations and branded partnerships, which will launch the music executive into the booming esports industry” in his role as minority shareholder and strategic advisor to the company.
Tiffith joins a list of celebrity investors in ReKTGlobal, whose ownership team includes musical artists Steve Aoki, Imagine Dragons, and Nicky Romero, pro athletes Rudy Gobert, Landon Collins, and Taylor Fritz, and lead investor Nick Gross.
