RTE viewers have praised the Late Late Toy Show Singalong as ‘cracking entertainment’.
The show aimed to brighten up the summer with a singalong to classic performances from Toy Shows past and they didn’t disappoint.
Hosted by Ryan Tubridy the show looked back at magnificent musical memories including The Cup Song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hit the Diff, The Greatest Showman, Old Town Road and last year’s Frozen extravaganza.
The song lyrics were on the screen for viewers to singalong.
Fans of the show flocked to Twitter praising the uplifting programme.
Lyndsey Johnson said: “Christmas in July! Tree up enjoying the Toy show time @RTELateLateShow.”
Paul Berney commented: “I loved that. Definitely need more cheer like that during these times. My personal favourite is the Willy Wonka opening, would have loved to see that again, but mustn’t be greedy!”
Francis Foley said: “In fairness the #LateLateShow #latelate #ToyShowSingAlong is cracking entertainment. I think if other countries saw what we have in the show they would be unashamedly cogging it.”

2020 TOY SHOW
This comes after Ryan Tubridy revealed that this year’s Late Late Toy Show will be “the most remarkable show ever” confirming it will go ahead.
There has been speculation about whether the Toy Show will happen this year due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
However, the Late Late Show host confirmed that it will be taking place this year and he promised that it will be remarkable.
Ryan announced this exciting news on his RTE Radio One show as he informed listeners he and his team have already begun planning the show.
Speaking on the radio, the RTE presenter said: “I have some really good news for you, the Toy Show 2020, you just need to know this much, it’s happening let there be no doubt.
“If you’re wondering, ‘Is it going ahead?’ yep it’s going to.
“It’s going to be arguably the most remarkable Toy Show we have ever put together.
“It’s going to be like something you have never seen or heard before. You won’t even be able to guess what will happen.”
He then sent on to say that he had been in contact with the North Pole and Santa had urged him to make sure the show goes ahead this year.
