The Indian markets witnessed a sudden decline in the last hour of the session on Friday.
The S&P BSE Sensex slipped over 200 points or 0.6 per cent to 38,747 levels while the NSE’s Nifty slipped below the 11,500 level at 11,483, down 0.29 per cent. Nifty Bank index slipped over 1.7 per cent to 21,924 levels.
Meanwhile, shares of pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were trading nearly 12 per cent higher after the company said it has settled its patent litigation with Celgene for the latter’s cancer drug capsules.
