We all have seen a ‘mommy-bird’, who teaches her ‘baby bird’ to fly and push her out of the nest when the time is right. Similarly, every mom teaches all the lessons of life to her daughter and when the time is right, she sets her off to make her own world. A mother and a daughter’s relationship is complicated yet the most special one, and every woman desires a baby girl in her life, who becomes her best friend. And Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s prayers of having a baby girl was answered this year, when she had welcomed her little angel via surrogacy. In Febraury 2020, Shilpa had announced the birth of her little princess via surrogacy and had named her Samisha. She had shared a glimpse of her baby’s little hand on her Instagram handle. Along with it, she had written a cute post and had revealed the meaning of her daughter’s name. She had shared that ”Sa” in Sanskrit is “to have”, and ”Misha” in Russian stands for “someone like God”. Hence, her little girl, Samisha’s name personifies goddess Laxmi.
On September 27, 2020, Shilpa Shetty Kundra penned a cute note for her baby girl’s first Daughters Day. She shared a cute picture with her baby girl, wherein, we can see the doting mommy lovingly looking at her princess. Along with it, she wrote a cute note and revealed that it was her son, Viaan, who had prayed to have a sister in his life. Her caption can be read as “Who says Miracles don’t happen… Holding one in my hands now. Life is such a miracle, isn’t it? That’s the happiness I’m celebrating today on #DaughtersDay as I hold. Samisha our daughter. I definitely don’t need a day to celebrate her.. Cant thank God and the Universe enough for answering & manifesting our prayers, especially Viaan’s, so beautifully; will be eternally grateful. On September 24, 2020, Shilpa had shared a glimpse of her son, Viaan’s baking session. She had revealed that Viaan wanted to eat brownies all week round, after knowing about Daughter’s Day. She had shared a video and had written, “Gluten-free Chocolate Brownies. #SwasthRahoMastRaho #TastyTuesday. A sibling bond is really special. Viaan realised it’s Daughter’s Day on 27th, Samisha’s first ‘Daughter’s Day’, so he wanted to celebrate (errr eat brownies) all week long. These Gluten-free Chocolate Brownies were a part of the celebrations. The brownies were absolutely yum! Makes for a fantastic dessert when you are craving something sweet and healthy. You must try this one out at home. The kids will love it! Shilpa had shared a beautiful note on the occasion of her daughter, Samisha’s first Raksha Bandhan. She had posted a dreamy picture and had written, “Today and this moment is sooo special for us all, as Viaan-Raj and Samisha celebrate their first Rakhshabandhan They say, ‘our siblings are our first best friends’, right here is the beginning of a ‘forever’ kinda friendship Viaan-Raj has always wanted and prayed for a lil sister – and his dream and ours has come true, making today extra special. I’m glad that they will always have each other to fall back on… someone to love unconditionally, talk to , crib about, yet be fiercely protective Tell your sibling today, how much you love them; and if they’re around you, don’t forget to give them a tight hug! In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Shilpa had talked about embracing motherhood for the second time and had shared, “We had been trying for second child for five years. I had signed Nikamma and had committed my dates to Hungama when I got the news that in February, we were going to be parents again. We cleared our work schedules for the whole month.” She had also opened up on her daughter’s name, “I came up with it when I was 21.
